We did a quick day trip to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the way from Split to Dubrovnik. Even in just a few hours, it felt like stepping into a different culture. The town had a picture-perfect, fairytale feel with beautiful architecture all around. 🇭🇷 We finally made it to beautiful Croatia, specifically Split for this part of the trip. We had heard amazing things about this place for years, so it only felt right to add it to our list of destinations. It was wild seeing palm trees and white stone walkways, such a big contrast from the other European spots we visited on this trip. We had a very quick 36 hours in Serbia. 🇷🇸 We walked around Belgrade and saw the most stunning and grand church we had ever seen, the Church of Saint Sava. It took both of our breath away, and we were completely in awe of its mosaics. Transylvania, Romania in October was probably the prettiest place I have ever seen the leaves change. I didn’t think the US Northeast or Northern Michigan could be beat, but I was wrong. The landscape was absolutely stunning, with rows of intense mountains covered in dramatic oranges and reds. Moments from our second base in Europe, Budapest, Hungary. This city truly felt grand, with the Danube River at its heart and stunning architecture around every corner. 2025 has been an amazing year! We can’t wait for everything we have planned for 2026!✨😜 Merry Christmas from our family to yours! 🎄✨ It’s been a year since our Iceland trip, and I still think about it, especially during the winter months. We both agree it’s still one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I genuinely miss the cold and the snow. Everything about Iceland felt like a dream for nature lovers, and we can’t wait to go back one day. 🇮🇸💙 A quick stop in Bratislava on our way back to Budapest from Vienna, and it completely surprised us. This city is clean, easy to walk around, full of great atmosphere, and the food did not disappoint, especially at Gatto Matto Ventúrska.
